Colorado Boat Center is owned by the Smiths (Tom, Nancy, Eric & Ashley), who have dedicated themselves to providing customers with outstanding service and exceptional value since 1990. By drawing on their combined experience working in other fields, and their love of boating, Tom and Nancy and their children have created a business that’s all about the fun and carefree boating lifestyle.
Colorado Boat Center has been certified by the National Marine Industry each year since 2005. CBC is proud to maintain a customer satisfaction rating of more than 99%, as well as an A+ rating from the BBB, and have been named as a Top 100 Dealer by the boating industry every year since 2006.
Colorado Boat Center was founded in 1990 by my parents, Tom and Nancy Smith. For most of that time, my Mom handled most of the marketing side of the business.
But lately, there has been a transition in the company. My brother Eric and I are slowly taking over management responsibilities in the company while Mom and Dad slowly ease away for a much-deserved quieter phase of their lives.
As part of that transition, it’s fallen to me to assume most of Mom’s marketing responsibilities.
Fuel Media has been with us through this transformation and cannot have been more helpful in guiding, teaching and helping me understand the marketing of our business. It’s been much more than just teaching me the ropes about things like newsletters and e-blasts and website design, it’s been the patience and responsiveness of the Fuel Media team to help as a new generation takes over.
Fuel Media supports us and our marketing initiatives everyday of the week. For instance, I remember a weekend … it might have been a long holiday weekend … when one of our local advertising venues had a problem with the specs of an ad scheduled to run. Even knowing it was the weekend, when even people at Fuel Media have off time, I sent off an email asking for help.
I was amazed. I not only got a prompt response, the Fuel Media team stepped up and made the required adjustments on the ad so that we met the deadline and got the job done. That weekend.
That one experience summarizes my opinion of Fuel Media. Sure, they know everything about marketing in today’s digital environment. But they are also responsive, patient, understanding and just great to work with.
